Seismic Data Evaluation

Your application supports the viewing of seismic data. This functionality is licensed separately to your core application.

Seismic data formats are information-rich files showing the results of seismic survey data. They are viewable within your application using the same mechanism used to view block model data as sections (viewing as cells, points or lines is not supported for this data type, and in this situation, these options are disabled in the Block Model Properties dialog.

Seismic data is best viewed using the industry-standard legends that are also available via your Block Model Properties dialog. These legends are referred to as "fast legends" as they are applied in a slightly different manner than standard legends, in order to preserve system performance when faced with literally millions of points of data. A separate Contrast function is also provided to allow geological features to be recognized more easily.

In order to read seismic data models in the expected hybrid format, you will need to have the SDP (Seismic Data Processing) license installed on your local machine, or be available via your network license server.
